Summary:

Join us for a dinner with Edin Basic, founder of Firezza, who grew his food business from a single location to a 17-site operation before successfully selling it to industry giant Pizza Express.

Over dinner, Edin will share the full story behind the sale, from the hands-on hustle of launching his first site to navigating the complex world of acquisition by a major player. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from a founder who has gone through the full journey and come out with real lessons to share.

What founders can expect:

If you are building with an exit in mind, Edin’s experience will offer practical insight into:

  • how to shape your business to appeal to strategic buyers
  • what large acquirers are really looking for
  • how to prepare for and manage the due diligence process
  • the mindset needed to lead through uncertainty
  • the role of founder brand and positioning in creating acquisition value

Edin will also speak to the emotional side of selling, including what it means to let go and how to think about what comes next.

About Edin:

Edin Basic began his career washing dishes in the basement kitchen of an Italian restaurant. His passion and drive quickly took him through the ranks, eventually leading him to launch Firezza with a co-founder. From startup uncertainty to scaling a team of 250 people across 17 locations, Edin led the business to a successful acquisition by Pizza Express in 2016.

Since then, he has founded and advised multiple food brands, co-founded an international pizza chain, and launched a venture studio helping founders grow and exit their businesses.

He also advises founders and CEOs on building their personal brand to support business growth.
