For many business owners, the first interaction with a potential buyer comes unexpectedly, and how that initial approach is handled can have a lasting impact on value, leverage, and ultimate success of the deal.
Over lunch, Meera Shah and Matt Katz from Buzzacott’s Corporate Finance team will explore what to do when a buyer approaches you out of the blue.
They’ll look at how to assess whether now is the right time to sell, how to understand a buyer’s true motives, and why early interactions set the tone for negotiations that follow.
They’ll also be joined by a guest who has been through the process, providing you with practical guidance on turning an unsolicited approach into a position of strength.
