What Does Vistage Cost in the UK?
Vistage's UK website tells you a great deal about the Chief Executive Programme and nothing about what it costs. Here is what it does say, what to ask, and how to compare it properly.

Vistage does not publish UK pricing. The Chief Executive Programme page on vistage.co.uk sets out the format, 12 full-day group meetings a year, 12 one-to-one coaching sessions and a group of 12 to 18 leaders, without a price. Figures on comparison sites cannot be traced to Vistage, so we will not repeat them. Helm publishes £495 to join then £495 a month, which is £6,435 plus VAT in year one and £5,940 a year after.
What you will and will not find on vistage.co.uk
Search the site and you will find the programme described in detail. A confidential advisory group of 12 to 18 local business leaders from non-competing industries. Twelve full-day peer advisory board meetings a year. Twelve one-to-one sessions with a private executive coach, your Chair. Speakers and subject-matter experts. Access to a global community of more than 45,000 business leaders.
What you will not find is a number. Vistage, like most organisations in this category, prices the programme through a conversation rather than on a page. That is a commercial choice, and Vistage has been making it successfully since 1957, so we are not going to pretend it is unreasonable. It does mean you need to go in prepared.
Why third-party figures are not worth much here
Type the question into a search engine and you will get numbers, often in US dollars, sometimes converted to sterling by whoever wrote the page. Vistage is a global organisation and its US programme is priced separately from its UK one. A US figure converted at today's rate tells you nothing reliable about what a Chair in Leeds will quote you.
We have watched a competitor's price get quoted around the industry for years without anyone checking it. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with something we cannot stand behind, so no Vistage fee appears in this article.
What you are paying for, whatever the number is
This is where the useful comparison sits, because the format decides whether the price is good value for you.
- A coach. Twelve one-to-one sessions a year with an experienced executive is a substantial coaching engagement in its own right. If you have priced executive coaching separately, you will know that this alone accounts for a meaningful part of any fee.
- A group. Twelve full days a year with 12 to 18 leaders. That is a lot of contact time, and it is a lot of diary.
- Speakers. Subject-matter experts at meetings, regional events and summits.
- A network. Vistage's 45,000-plus members across 35 countries.
If the coaching is what you want, the Vistage price, whatever it is, is buying the right thing. If what you want is the group, you are paying for a coaching component you may not use, and it is fair to ask whether a different room serves you better.
The annual cost of the Chief Executive Programme. Whether there is a joining or set-up fee. Whether the one-to-one sessions and the speaker programme are included or charged separately. What regional events and summits cost on top. Whether the fee is billed annually or monthly, and what the notice period is. Five answers in one email and you will know more than most members did when they signed.
What Helm costs, and what that buys
£495 to join, then £495 a month, published on every page of the website. That is £6,435 plus VAT in the first year and £5,940 a year after that. It covers your Forum of six to eight founders meeting ten times a year, chaired by a founder who has already exited, all 160+ events, the roundtable dinners, the special guest dinners, the quarterly socials, member messaging and curated introductions.
What it does not include, and we should be plain about this, is one-to-one coaching. Helm's model is the Forum and the membership. If you want a coach, Vistage builds one in and Helm does not.
Billing is monthly, with one month's notice to leave. An annual lump sum makes it harder to leave when something is not working, which keeps people in rooms they have checked out of. Monthly means the membership has to keep earning its place.

The comparison that actually matters
Cost per useful hour. Vistage gives you a full day a month in the group plus an hour or so of coaching. Helm gives you a three-hour Forum ten times a year plus whatever events you attend. Divide the annual fee by the hours you will genuinely show up for, then ask what each hour was worth.
And be honest about the size of the room. A group of sixteen sharing a day gives each person a fraction of the attention that a group of eight sharing three hours does. More hours in a bigger room is not automatically more of what you came for.
Where Vistage is the better choice
You want coaching as a formal part of the programme. You want a large, broad group including leaders who did not found their businesses. You want a full day away from the business each month, structured for you. If those describe you, ask Vistage for the price and take it seriously.
Where Helm is wrong for you
If you want one-to-one coaching, Helm does not offer it. If you are not the founder or CEO, Helm is not open to you. And if you have not raised £3m, are not turning over £3m and have not exited, you are not eligible yet, whatever the price.
