What Hampton Costs, and What You Get for It
Hampton talks about cost on its own FAQ without stating a figure. It is more open than most about what is included and what is not, so that is where the useful information sits.

Hampton does not publish its membership dues. Its FAQ confirms that membership is billed annually, that you have ten days to accept and pay once invited, that retreats and some events cost extra, and that there is a 45-day money-back guarantee on annual dues if you attend your commitment call. What Hampton says about cost, in its own words
Hampton's FAQ has a question titled "How much does it cost?" The answer describes membership as an annual investment that many members deduct as a business expense, and says the dues are structured to be a no-brainer because one connection or one breakthrough conversation gives members ten times the value of the dues. What it does not do is state the number.
Figures circulate on third-party sites and we are not going to repeat one we cannot source to Hampton itself. We have watched a competitor's price get quoted around the industry for years without anyone checking it, and we would rather leave a gap than fill it.
What Hampton does publish is more useful than a single number anyway, because it tells you the shape of the commitment.
Six things Hampton confirms about the money
- It is billed annually. Hampton says membership is billed annually and is not meant to be a one-year experiment. The expectation is long-term membership, often a decade or more with the same people.
- You have ten days to accept and pay. Once the founders give the final approval you receive an invitation email, and you have ten days to accept it and pay your dues.
- Some events cost extra. Retreats, overnight adventures and experiences such as surfing trips or rally driving require additional payment. Hampton says it does not profit from events, which is a fair thing to state.
- There is a 45-day money-back guarantee. If you show up to your initial Commitment Call, you are eligible for a full refund of your annual dues within the first 45 days of joining. Hampton describes it as no hoops, no headaches.
- Core group placement takes around 90 days. You get the digital community and chapter events immediately, but the Core group, which is the main thing you are paying for, takes roughly three months to form.
- Dues are the same for everyone at a chapter. Hampton describes one membership rather than tiers. Chapter events and the wider network are included, and the only extras it names are the retreats and adventures.
The guarantee runs for 45 days from joining. Core placement takes around 90. So the refund window closes before you have sat in the group that most of the value comes from. Hampton is clear about both numbers and we are not suggesting anything is hidden, but you should know that the guarantee protects your decision about the community and the events, not your experience of the Core group.
What is included
Hampton lists three things as covered by membership. A curated Core group of around eight founders that meets monthly except August and December, so ten times a year, for about three hours, led by a paid and trained moderator. A private, always-on digital community of more than 1,000 members, with curated channels, quick introductions and daily advice. And a chapter events programme, from small dinners to larger gatherings with authors, investors and founders of very large companies, plus family-friendly events.
The digital community is the part most UK founders underrate. Hampton describes getting an answer to almost any question within 30 minutes. That is a genuinely different product from a monthly meeting, and it is worth weighing properly if you are the kind of founder who wants a fast answer at odd hours.
The costs that are not on any invoice
Two of them. Time, which at ten meetings a year of three hours plus chapter events is a real diary commitment. And, for a UK founder, the fact that London is the only UK chapter city. Hampton announced on 2 September 2025 that it was focusing on thirteen chapter cities with in-person Core groups, twelve of them in North America. If you are in Manchester or Edinburgh, you cannot join an in-person Core group, and Hampton only places members into in-person groups.
Then there is fit. Hampton's members are all tech-first or tech-enabled founders, and the published mix is roughly a quarter SaaS followed by agency, direct-to-consumer, marketplace, services, media and fintech. If your business is a manufacturer or a consultancy, the money may be well spent on the wrong room.
What Helm costs, for comparison
£495 to join, then £495 a month. That is £6,435 plus VAT in the first year and £5,940 a year after that. It covers your Forum of six to eight, all 160+ events a year, the roundtable dinners, the special guest dinners, the quarterly socials and the introductions. No tiers, no chapter dues, nothing else to buy once you are in.
It is billed monthly with one month's notice, which is a deliberate choice. An annual lump sum makes it harder to leave when something is not working, and that keeps people in rooms they have quietly checked out of. Monthly means the membership has to keep earning its place.

Ask for this in writing before you accept
The annual dues. Whether there is an initiation or joining fee on top. What the retreats and adventures typically cost and how many members attend them. Exactly what the 45-day guarantee covers and what counts as attending the Commitment Call. And whether dues change at renewal. Five answers in one email and you will know more than most applicants do at the point they pay.
Where Hampton is the better choice
You are in London, your business is digital-first, and you want American peers. The Slack community is a genuine product, the veto process is smart, and a 45-day guarantee is rare in this category. If that is you, the absence of a published price is an inconvenience rather than a reason not to apply.
Where Helm is wrong for you
If you want a transatlantic room, Helm does not give you one. And if you have not raised £3m, are not turning over £3m and have not exited, you are not eligible yet. The published price does not change the bar.
