Confidentiality at Helm

In Forum, nothing leaves the room.

Helm is built on trust. Forum is fully confidential. Every other Helm event runs under the Chatham House Rule. And nobody is here to sell to you.

The three rules. What stays in the room, and what you can take with you

Two levels of confidentiality, depending on where you are, and one rule that applies everywhere.

  1. 01
    Forum: fully confidential

What's said in your Forum stays with the people in it. Nobody repeats it, to anyone, with or without names. That's what lets founders bring the decisions they can't share with their team, their investors or their family.

  2. 02
Other Helm events: the Chatham House Rule

At dinners, roundtables, workshops, retreats and guest dinners, you're free to use what you hear. You never say who said it, or which business they run.

  3. 03
    No selling, ever

Advisers, service providers and recruiters can't join, and members don't pitch each other. The rule has held since Helm began as The Supper Club in 2003.

Confidentiality at Helm. Nothing is off the table. In Forum, nothing leaves the room.

Forum is fully confidential. At other Helm events the Chatham House Rule applies: use what you hear, never who said it. And our no-sales rule has held since 2003. Nobody is here to pitch you.

Does anything from my Forum leave the room?

No. Forum is fully confidential. What you bring, and what others bring, stays with the people in your Forum.

Can I share what I learn at a Helm event?

Yes. Events outside Forum run under the Chatham House Rule: you can use the information you hear, but you can't say who said it or identify the business they run.

Does the Chatham House Rule apply to guest dinners?

Yes. Guest dinners and other Helm events run under the Chatham House Rule, so guests and members can speak openly.

Will anyone try to sell to me?

No. Advisers, service providers and recruiters can't join Helm, and the no-sales rule has held since 2003.
