About Bruce
Bruce started First Mile in London in 2004, having spotted a gap in business waste. He took a traditional collection service and added technology: customers book collections when it suits them and see exactly what was recycled, and where it went.
First Mile is a certified B Corp and now supports around 35,000 businesses across the UK and Ireland. Warren Equity Partners acquired it in December 2024, and in 2026 Bruce handed the CEO role to Susan Davy. He stays on as founder, working on strategy, partnerships, acquisitions and sustainability.
